Coaching philosophy

Its easy to identify a UKFA player…

Our playing philosophy is to ensure every single player is confident and comfortable in every position on the pitch so they reach their full potential and gain clear advantages over opposition.

From the earliest age,  every player is working through our unique ball mastery programme so they are confident to take the ball in any area of the pitch.

We measure, track & develop our players ball mastery at all ages through our programme. Once players have mastered this, they can beat players 1v1; creating space and disruption on the pitch.

Across all age groups, we use small-sided games to allow our players as many touches of the ball as possible, allowing them to make fast decisions, accelerating their development.

As players progress through our programme, they understand how their role fits within their team and through movement, supporting or creating space, we gain further advantage against the opposition.

A UKFA player is confident and comfortable on the ball and understands fully how they can use this to be successful in match-play situations.

All UKFA coaches are UEFA & FA qualified but more importantly, they have the skills needed to create the best environment for players to accelerate.
